Introduction

The Mathematics Department aims to develop our students to be confident and self-directed problem solvers. Our mission is to nurture students’ capacity to deal with ambiguity so as to apply Mathematical skills in practical tasks and real-life problems.

Key Programmes

Our Secondary 2 Financial Literacy Programme aims to help our students pick up Financial Literacy skills through real life applications of Mathematics. Our students will also be able to gain insights into how Mathematics can help people to manage bills, income, expenses, taxes, loans, etc. They will also learn and understand more about personal finance and budgeting through role playing and working with their peers.

Stretch Programmes

Students are exposed to a broader community of Mathematics to stretch their potential in the subject. Selected students are provided with opportunities to take part in international and national competitions such as Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) and Singapore Mathematics Olympiad (SMO) .
