National Police Cadet Corps
Introduction
The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC), formed in 1959, is one of the longest standing uniformed youth organisations in Singapore today with a proud heritage. Through a variety of activities, the values of RISE (Resilience, Integrity, Service, and Excellence) are inculcated in our cadets. These values will enable them to develop into caring and responsible citizens with a sense of purpose to serve the community.
### Programme Overview
Our NPCC curriculum and activities focuses on the following five aspects:
- Law Enforcement e.g. HQ activities like Police Knowledge, Basic Law, SANA, CSI, Sec 2 & 3 0.22 Classification Shoot
- Leadership e.g. Unit activities like Leadership & Mentoring Skills Course
- Resilience e.g. Area activities like Sec 2 Adventure Training Camp @ Pulau Ubin
- National Education e.g. Unit activities like Total Defence
- Personal Development e.g. Unit activities like Kayaking, Life Saving, Swimming
Cadets also have opportunities to represent the school in events like National Day Parade, Police Day and NPCC Day. They can also participate in Inter-Unit Competitions like Campcraft, Drills, CSI and Area Games Competitions.
